Barton Career Advisors Holiday Appeal Raises Funds for Greater Wilmington Boys & Girls Clubs
Wilmington, DE (PRWEB) January 08, 2016
Barton Career Advisors announced yesterday that its holiday fundraising appeal for the Greater Wilmington Boys & Girls Clubs had raised $1,690 exceeding their goal of $1,500 by New Year’s Day.
“The clubs are always in need of financial support from the community and we thought this would be a fun way to help,” said Chris Barton, President Barton Career Advisors. “Little did we know that our program launched just before Christmas would be so important. The recent vandalism at the Brown Club is terrible.”
Barton, a former Boys & Girls Clubs Board Member, explained that his firm has decided to extend the fundraising appeal through the end of January. The company has set up a giving page that directs funds to the clubs. Recent HVAC thefts at the Brown Club caused $300,000 in damages.
“Chris and his colleagues at Barton Career Advisors continue to demonstrate their commitment to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. Whether it’s through volunteering, philanthropic efforts, or being an advocate for the Clubs in the community” says George Krupanski, President & CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware. “The enthusiasm, creativity and leadership Chris offers definitely puts the ‘fun’ in every initiative we undertake. His efforts have focus and purpose. Barton Career Advisors provides an excellent role model of giving back to one’s community” Krupanski went on to say.
